Committed to unlock the potential of diverse voices in finance, I am excited to join the Investment Club Zurich board. Finances
Jessica Stafford Chong
As a banking and finance student at the University of Zürich, my involvement in the Investment Club has been driven by a long-standing interest in financial markets. What attracted me to the club was its dual focus: giving students a hands-on opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and serving as a vital link between the academic world and the financial industry. Personally, I am also passionate about inspiring other female students to enter the finance sector with confidence and ambition.
Analyst Lead
Denis Lasser
I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in banking and finance. My passion for investing stems from my fascination with understanding how a firm works and what makes it stand apart from its competitors. Engaging in deep-dive analysis while also maintaining a big picture view is not only challenging but also incredibly rewarding.
Analyst Lead
Jon Schätti
After studying mechanical engineering for two years, I realized I wanted a more comprehensive understanding of how companies operate and why some succeed while others fail. Joining the Investment Club has provided me with exactly that and so much more.
I encourage anyone, regardless of their background, to explore the world of investments
Communications
Selin Acar
Having always had a keen interest in the financial markets, I joined the Investment Club. I was mainly inspired by the core mission of the club, which is not only to provide a platform for students to apply their knowledge and gain experience, but also to bridge the gap between academia and industry. My personal goal is also to encourage female students to embrace the world of finance with confidence and determination.
Advisory Board
Former board members can join the advisory board, where they contribute their experience, strategic insights, and extensive network of connections to support the current board.

Gianluca Pierallini
I’m drawn to investing because it opens up endless possibilities to learn about all sorts of companies and sectors. Currently in my last semester at UZH studying Business Administration, I’ve found our club, filled with engaging students, to be the perfect spot for lively discussions on how to analyse companies. It’s like we’re getting a head start on mastering the tools of the trade before we dive into the financial world.

In investing, it pays to be a generalist. It combines elements of business, economics, psychology, sociology, history, politics, technology, and law, as all have an impact on the markets. The goal is to be an intellectually honest investigative journalist who reaches the right conclusions before the market does and then waits until the market agrees. Therefore, it is very enriching to have students from diverse backgrounds collaborate to arrive at these right conclusions while learning from experienced business and investment managers.
